IRU Journal is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and follows the principles established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Duties of Authors

Originality and Plagiarism

  • Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original
  • Any use of others' work must be properly cited and quoted
  • Plagiarism in all its forms constitutes unethical behavior
  • Self-plagiarism (duplicate publication) is not acceptable

Data Integrity

  • Research data must be authentic and accurately presented
  • Fabrication or falsification of data is strictly prohibited
  • Raw data should be available for editorial review if requested
  • Statistical analysis must be appropriate and correctly reported

Multiple or Concurrent Submission

  • Authors must not submit the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously
  • Previously published work should not be resubmitted without disclosure
  • Authors must inform the editor of any related submissions

Authorship and Acknowledgment

Who Qualifies as an Author?

Authorship should be limited to those who have made significant contributions to:

  • Conception and design of the study
  • Acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data
  • Drafting or critical revision of the manuscript
  • Final approval of the version to be published

Acknowledgments

  • All contributors who do not meet authorship criteria should be acknowledged
  • Financial support and funding sources must be disclosed
  • Technical assistance should be properly credited

Duties of Reviewers

Confidentiality

Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents and not share or discuss them with others without authorization.

Objectivity

Reviews should be conducted objectively, with constructive criticism supported by clear arguments and evidence.

Disclosure of Conflicts

Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest and decline to review when appropriate.

Timeliness

Reviewers should complete reviews promptly or inform the editor if unable to meet the deadline.

Editorial Responsibilities

Fair Play

Editors evaluate manuscripts based solely on their intellectual content, regardless of the authors' race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy.

Confidentiality

Editors must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the authors, reviewers, and potential reviewers.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest

Editors must recuse themselves from handling manuscripts when they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships.
