Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using IRU Journal's website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.

Manuscript Submission

Author Responsibilities

• Authors must submit original work that has not been published elsewhere
• All listed authors must have made significant contributions to the research
• Authors must declare any conflicts of interest
• Proper citation of all sources is mandatory
• Authors are responsible for the accuracy of their submissions

Copyright and Licensing

By submitting a manuscript to IRU Journal, authors grant us the right to publish and distribute the work under an open access license. Authors retain copyright to their work while granting the journal first publication rights.

Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous peer review process. The editorial team and reviewers:

• Maintain confidentiality of submitted manuscripts
• Provide objective and constructive feedback
• Declare any conflicts of interest
• Adhere to ethical review practices

Publication Fees

Authors are required to pay publication fees as outlined on our website:

• Individual submissions: 50,000 FRW
• Student submissions: 35,000 FRW (with valid student ID)
• Institutional membership: 150,000 FRW annually

Payment must be made before publication. Fees are non-refundable once the manuscript has been accepted for publication.

Ethical Standards

Prohibited Practices

• Plagiarism in any form
• Fabrication or falsification of data
• Duplicate submission or publication
• Improper authorship attribution
• Failure to disclose conflicts of interest

Retraction Policy

IRU Journal reserves the right to retract published articles in cases of:

• Evidence of unreliable findings or data
• Plagiarism or fraudulent claims
• Ethical violations
• Duplicate publication

Intellectual Property

All content on the IRU Journal website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of IRU Journal or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright laws.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Our services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that our services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

IRU Journal shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services.

Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.

Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Rwanda, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
